Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across various healthcare departments (e.g., clinical, administrative, IT, finance) to identify, document, and prioritize business requirements for new systems, features, or process improvements.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of current healthcare workflows, systems, and data to identify pain points, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and brainstorming sessions to elicit detailed requirements.
  • Translate high-level business requirements into detailed functional and non-functional specifications, user stories, use cases, and process flows (e.g., BPMN diagrams).
  • Create clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation that can be understood by both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Manage and maintain requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Work closely with technical teams (developers, architects) to propose and evaluate potential solutions that meet business needs and align with organizational strategy and healthcare compliance.
  • Participate in the design and prototyping of new healthcare IT solutions.
  • Assess the impact of proposed changes on existing systems and processes.
  • Develop test plans, test cases, and user acceptance testing (UAT) scenarios based on documented requirements.
  • Support and participate in system testing and UAT, ensuring solutions meet business objectives and quality standards.
  • Identify and document defects, working with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
  • Act as a primary liaison between business users, IT teams, and vendors.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues effectively to all stakeholders.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on new systems or processes.
  • Ensure all solutions and processes adhere to relevant healthcare regulations, standards, and best practices (e.g., HIPAA, HL7, FHIR, Meaningful Use).
  • Stay updated on evolving healthcare industry trends and regulatory changes.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 /10 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 2 years specifically in the healthcare domain (e.g., hospitals, clinics, payers, pharmaceutical companies, healthcare IT vendors).
  • Proven experience with healthcare-specific systems (e.g., EHR/EMR, Practice Management, Revenue Cycle Management, LIS, RIS).
  • Strong understanding of healthcare workflows, clinical processes, and administrative operations.
  • Familiarity with healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR, ICD-10, CPT).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in creating detailed documentation, including business requirements documents (BRD), functional specifications, user stories, and process flows.
  • Experience with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Certifications such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional), CCBA (Certification of Capability in Business Analysis), or PMP (Project Management Professional).
  • Experience with data analysis tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge of healthcare interoperability challenges and solutions.
  • Familiarity with healthcare analytics and reporting.
  • Experience with specific healthcare software platforms or systems relevant to our organization.
