Summary
The Application Software Business Analyst is responsible for eliciting, analyzing, and documenting business requirements for software development projects. The role involves working closely with stakeholders, end-users, project managers, and developers to ensure that software applications are designed to meet business needs. The BA will help translate business objectives into technical solutions and support the software development lifecycle from inception to implementation.

The pay range for this position is $92,900.00 - $132,700.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. Your role in our mission
- Requirements & Process Analysis: Gather, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements; evaluate and optimize business processes to align with software capabilities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a liaison between stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring alignment on business needs, design, and development throughout the project lifecycle.
- Documentation & Communication: Create and maintain BRDs, user stories, process flows, and training materials to support development and user adoption.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Support UAT, identify and resolve defects, and assist end-users during testing and go-live phases to ensure solution quality.
- Project & Change Management Support: Assist with project planning, tracking, and change management by analyzing impacts, managing risks, and communicating updates effectively.
What we're looking for
- 7-10 years of experience as a Business Analyst in Software Application Development.
- Business Analysis & Documentation: Proficient in requirement gathering, process mapping, and documentation using tools like Jira, Confluence, and Visio.
- Software Development Lifecycle Knowledge: Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to work independently and collaboratively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Skilled in analysis, decision-making, and resolving complex issues effectively.
- Industry & Domain Expertise: Experience in healthcare and/or pharmacy; familiarity with industry-specific systems (e.g., finance, healthcare) is a plus.
Preferred Certifications:
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)
- PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA)
- Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) or similar Agile certification
