Job Title: Sr. Software Engineer - Information Technology (Performance Test Engineer)
Location: Reston, VA (On-site once a month)
Job Type: Contract

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Performance Test Engineer with deep expertise in Tricentis NeoLoad and LoadRunner. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience creating, maintaining, and managing automated performance testing scripts, analyzing system performance, and collaborating closely with development and systems teams to ensure optimal application scalability and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, execute, and maintain performance test plans and automated scripts.
  • Analyze performance test results, generate detailed metrics, and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Identify, report, and track potential code defects; communicate testing status and issues effectively to management.
  • Review business and system requirements to ensure testability and performance coverage.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders and customers to analyze discrepancies, create test data, and ensure satisfaction.
  • Participate in project meetings, system architecture reviews, and benchmark system performance.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of testing tools, methodologies, and product functionality.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience as a Performance Test Engineer.
  • SME-level expertise in Tricentis NeoLoad ( 5 years).
  • Strong experience with LoadRunner and migrating LoadRunner scripts to NeoLoad.
  • Proficient in performance testing techniques, monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog), and relational databases (DB2, Oracle, MongoDB).
  • Strong SQL/PLSQL skills.
  • Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, servers, networks, virtualization, and database systems.
  • Experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira) and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Prior experience in the healthcare industry.
