Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of data engineers in the design, development, and implementation of data pipelines and data integration solutions.
- Design and build scalable and reliable data models, schemas, and ETL processes.
- Optimize data warehousing strategies and implement big data solutions using technologies like Spark, Databricks, and others.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements, develop data strategies and plans.
- Use your expertise in cloud platforms to manage and maintain our databases in Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries to support data analysis and business intelligence.
- Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing advanced data management and governance practices.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, and leverage them to improve our data infrastructure and capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, IT, or related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in data engineering, ETL, data warehousing, big data, and cloud technologies.
- Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing databases.
- Proficiency in various cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.
- Experience with big data technologies like Spark, AI, ML, and Databricks.
- Solid understanding of data models, schemas, and ETL processes.
- Experience with Azure Data Factory, data modeling, SQL queries, and data integration.
- Strong leadership skills with a minimum of 5 years of experience in leading and managing data engineering teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and analytically.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex data-related concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Experience in the energy industry is a plus.
