Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Securities Lending Front Office Developer in New York City. This role requires a strong Java development background with experience in Securities Lending platforms and front-office trading systems.
You will collaborate directly with traders, quants, and risk teams, developing and enhancing mission-critical applications supporting securities lending and trading operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain Java-based Securities Lending applications
Collaborate closely with front-office trading desks, quants, and risk teams
Enhance and support Securities Lending platforms (FIS Loanet/Loanex, Global One)
Integrate systems with BTCC, market data, and trading platforms
Implement DevSecOps practices using tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, Git, SonarQube, Tenable, and Invicti
Participate in Agile development, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks
Work with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ) and databases (Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake)
Provide technical guidance and ensure high performance and reliability across systems
Required Skills & Experience:
13+ years of Java development experience
Experience in capital markets / financial services, specifically Securities Lending
Hands-on with FIS Loanet/Loanex or Global One platforms
Strong knowledge of front-office trading systems, market data, and order management
Experience with Spring, Hibernate, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake
Familiar with DevSecOps tools: Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet, Sonatype, SonarQube, etc.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work with front-office stakeholders
Nice to Have:
Experience with AI/ML platforms (DL4J, TensorFlow, etc.)
Knowledge of BTCC and Murex
Experience with ElasticSearch, Kibana, Splunk for log analysis
Familiarity with AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes
Understanding of P&L calculations, pricing models, and risk management concepts
Education:
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Additional Information:
Hybrid: 2-3 days per week in the NYC office
Interview Process: 2-3 video rounds + final onsite (face-to-face) interview
