Control Engineer

Location: North Haven, CT (Onsite)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Control Engineer to design, program, and maintain industrial automation systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMI/SCADA systems, industrial networks, and electrical troubleshooting. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operation of automation systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, program, and troubleshoot PLC systems (Allen-Bradley Logix).

  • Design and implement HMI/SCADA interfaces using FactoryTalk View.

  • Work with industrial networks (EtherNet/IP) and VFDs.

  • Read, interpret, and apply Process & Instrumentation Drawings, electrical diagrams, and logic diagrams.

  • Diagram and document systems using CAD software.

  • Perform low-voltage electrical design and layout (preferred).

  • Provide electrical and mechanical troubleshooting for automation systems.

  • Prepare technical documentation and reports.

  • Collaborate with engineers and project teams to meet design standards and project milestones.

Required Qualifications
  • 10 13 years of experience in industrial automation.

  • Strong PLC programming experience (Allen-Bradley Logix).

  • Extensive HMI/SCADA design experience (FactoryTalk View).

  • Knowledge of industrial networks (EtherNet/IP) and VFDs.

  • Proficiency in reading electrical, logic, and P&ID diagrams.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills (electrical and mechanical).

  • Excellent technical writing and communication skills.

  • Team player with ability to adapt to engineering standards.

Preferred Skills
  • Expert in Rockwell PLC and SCADA development.

  • Experience with Cognex/Keyence vision systems.

  • Proficient in programming languages such as Ladder, SCL, FBD, and Graph.

  • Validation experience in industrial automation environments.
