Are you looking for your next career challenge? We are excited to be recruiting a Web Analyst for the Marketing & Communication (M&C) team at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. In this role, you will partner with channel owners, strategists, and technologists to improve the digital experience and better connect prospective patients to the world-class care at MSK. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead from the front - surfacing insights that will help drive our marketing forward, while also serving as a thought-partner as we build strategies for the future.
Job Responsibilities:
--Reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing Measurement, Analytics, and Insights, you will:
-Serve as a thought-partner for Analytics, Digital Experience, and Product teams; conducting analyses, building reports, uncovering insights, and recommending improvements.
-Monitor the health of web performance indicators such as traffic volumes, audience composition, and conversion rates.
-Deliver content insights that drive understanding and improvement in how our teams write.
-Assist with ad hoc Web Analytics requests from across Marketing & Communication.
-Help to manage the integrity of our Web Analytics data by ensuring proper taxonomy and tracking practices are upheld across Marketing and Communication.
-Champion a hybrid Service/Self-Service analytics model within M&C - educating stakeholders as you collaborate on data projects.
Required Skills & Experience:
-Three (3) or more years experience working in a marketing analytics role.
-Experience with Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Heap, and/or similar tools is required.
-A strong, practical understanding of Web Analytics technology.
-Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to synthesize sophisticated information and convey complex ideas in an accessible manner.
-An ability to instill confidence and drive influence through presentations and live collaboration.
-An intrapreneurial mindset, seeking out ways to continuously improve both what is produced and how work gets done.
-A grasp of how various Paid, Earned, and Owned marketing channels work.
-An understanding of relational databases and supporting concepts; including granularity, keys, joins, and transformations.
-Familiarity with Google Tag Manager and basic web technology concepts.
Required Education:
-High School Diploma.
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATION:
- To better understand the role, can you tell me a little bit about what your team does?
This team is responsible for all analytics and adjacent work under MSK marketing. Our team is responsible for implementing and executing strategy for working with data teams for data architecture. The team is responsible for preparing data, pulling visuals, and conducting/analyzing data.
The work for this assignment will be focused on web analytics, technology integrations and some usual work and some project work. The goal of the team is to ensure MSK website experience continues to be a positive experience despite the conversion volume. Project work will also consist of content work and content will be driven based on the demand from site interactions.
Marketing agency environment is a plus (pace and diversity in work) start up agency experience
- What is a typical day going to look like for this person?
The person in this role will need to be able to work in an environment where autonomy is expected to complete tasks, goals, and projects. The person will help guide where the team s focus should be and how to optimize the teams output
This is a new role, as the previous structure relied on the use of agency consultants. Current state, this person will need to be involved, engaged, and take a hands-on approach. It will require technical skills (such as working with/in analyzing data, web analytics data). Previous experience within the healthcare industry is not required.
- Can you explain the expectations for Week 1, and then the first 30, 60, 90 days?
There is not a set/rigid schedule. The goal for this person, starting out, is to get familiar with and train on the systems utilized by the team.
As the worker gains experience and grows in knowledge and understanding there will be a shift to project-based work. As tasks are completed successfully, work will become more autonomous.
This will require the worker to communicate frequently, ask (many) questions, and deliver on what is asked (and not asked taking initiative)
