Location: Iselin, NJ -  Or Charlotte NC HYBRID role

Job Summary:

 

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Core Java Developer with strong experience in the Payments and Banking/Financial domain. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in building high-performance, scalable microservices using Core Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and MongoDB, with a deep understanding of payment processing systems and financial transaction workflows.

  • Strong experience as a Core Java Developer (Java 8+) in Banking, Financial Services, or Payments domain
  • Hands-on expertise in building microservices using Spring Boot and related Spring frameworks
  • Proven experience working on payment processing systems, transaction lifecycle, reconciliation, or settlement
  • Experience developing RESTful APIs for high-volume, low-latency financial applications
  • Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka for event-driven and real-time payment processing
  • Strong working knowledge of MongoDB (or other NoSQL databases) and SQL databases
  • Experience integrating with payment gateways, clearing systems, or external financial services
  • Understanding of security, data privacy, and compliance requirements in banking/payment systems
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Agile/Scrum environments
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and Docker/Kubernetes is a plus
