Your role and responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced L3 Infrastructure Support Engineer to join our team and support some of our top clients locally in the Los Angeles Metroplex. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supporting Linux systems, AWS, and Nutanix environments. This role requires expertise in managing and troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues, ensuring the stability and performance of our systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and support Nutanix environments, including Nutanix Flow, AHV, AOS, and Prism.
  • Create, manage, and troubleshoot Nutanix security policies and micro-segmentation.
  • Perform Nutanix cluster creation, expansion, and migration of workloads from VMware to Nutanix.
  • Administer Linux servers, including OS versions, lifecycle management, and enterprise-scale deployments.
  • Deploy and manage workloads on AWS and other hyperscalers (Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
  • Utilize Ansible/Terraform for infrastructure automation and management.
  • Manage storage technologies (SAN) and perform updates and firmware upgrades.
  • Document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintain clear communication with leadership, colleagues, and customers.

This job can be performed from anywhere in the US.

Required education

Associate's Degree/College Diploma

Bachelor's Degree

Required technical and professional expertise

Required Skills:
  • Expert-level experience with Linux adminstration, Nutanix Flow, AHV, AOS, and Prism.
  • Proven experience in Linux system administration and virtualization technologies (VMware).
  • Hands-on experience with AWS and other hyperscalers.
  • Proficiency in Ansible/Terraform for automation.
  • Strong knowledge of storage technologies and networking fundamentals.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with Python/PowerShell scripting.
  • Knowledge of database platforms relevant to Windows and Linux server support.
  • Understanding of security and identity management (AAA).

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
