Compensation: $83,000 $123,000 (Flexible based on experience)

Must-Have Qualifications

  • CPA License: Active CPA required (CPA-eligible accepted for Staff Auditors)

  • Audit Experience: External client audit experience in public accounting

  • Standards Proficiency: Strong in GAAP and GAAS (GAS is a plus)

  • Communication: Excellent communication & organizational skills

  • Client-Facing: Comfortable working directly with clients & oversight agencies


Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with governmental and ERISA audits

  • Industry familiarity: Healthcare, Real Estate, Construction, Manufacturing, Arts

Role Overview: Audit Manager

As an Audit Manager, you ll oversee assurance engagements for:

  • For-Profit & Nonprofit Entities

  • Governmental & ERISA Audits

  • Reviews & Compilations

You ll lead teams, manage timelines, and build long-term client trust.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage audits, reviews, compilations, and special projects

  • Lead and supervise assurance teams, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery

  • Oversee financial statements, disclosures, and compliance reports

  • Build & maintain strong client relationships

  • Implement new accounting/audit standards seamlessly into client workflows

  • Mentor staff and support professional growth

  • Lead internal training and identify process improvements

  • Handle client communications for smooth engagement wrap-up


Required Skills

  • Expert knowledge of financial, cost accounting, and auditing principles

  • Deep understanding of GAAP/GAAS (plus: GAS experience)

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills

  • Clear communication with regulatory bodies

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office + audit/accounting software

  • Leadership: Train, guide, and manage multiple engagement teams


Education & Experience

  • Required:

    • Bachelor s in Accounting, Finance, or related field

    • Active CPA license

    • 4+ years of audit experience in public accounting

  • Preferred:

    • Experience with governmental & ERISA audits
