Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled IAM Engineer to join our Identity Access Management (IAM)
team. In this role, you will be responsible for engineering and supporting enterprise-wide
access management solutions using SailPoint. You will design, develop, customize, and
troubleshoot IAM solutions, and provide Level 3 support for Identity Governance and
Administration (IGA) functions on a clustered, virtualized on-premises platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement IAM solutions using SailPoint IdentityNow/IdentityIQ.
- Collaborate with IT Security, Operations, and Application Development teams to
- define and enforce IAM best practices.
- Onboard and integrate applications into SailPoint, correlating system user accounts
- to identity cubes.
- Troubleshoot and support connectors such as Active Directory, LDAP, MS Entra ID,
- Web-API, Database, Mainframe, Snowflake, etc.
- Monitor and maintain the health, performance, and scalability of the SailPoint
- Develop and maintain documentation, processes, and guidance for operational
- Address escalated issues, including audit responses and ad-hoc troubleshooting.
- Implement and support access requests, approvals, provisioning, certifications,
- SOD, RBAC, reporting, and workflow design.
- Collaborate in Agile/Scrum environments to deliver high-quality IAM solutions.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or
- equivalent experience).
- 8 10 years of experience in information security or related technology roles.
- 8+ years of hands-on experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ (on-prem); knowledge of
- SailPoint Cloud is a plus.
- Strong experience with Java, J2EE, BeanShell, RESTful APIs, and databases on Unix
- Proficiency in API integrations and full lifecycle IAM implementations.
- Experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting of Apache and Tomcat
- Familiarity with other IAM tools such as Okta, Saviynt, etc.
Preferred Skills:
- Full-stack development experience (mid-level).
- Strong data analysis skills and proficiency in SQL.
- Experience with JMeter and application performance monitoring tools.
- Knowledge of version control and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter with strong analytical and debugging capabilities.
Certifications:
- Relevant IAM or security certifications are a plus but not required.
