Guidewire Developer Job Description

Position Overview: As a Guidewire Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing solutions using Guidewire InsuranceSuite (PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter) to support our insurance operations. You will work closely with business analysts, other developers, and stakeholders to deliver robust, scalable, and efficient insurance software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and customize Guidewire InsuranceSuite applications based on business requirements.
  • Write high-quality, maintainable, and efficient code adhering to best practices.
  • Configure Guidewire products, including workflows, rules, and data models.
  • Integrate Guidewire applications with external systems through REST, SOAP, and other APIs.
  • Perform system analysis, troubleshooting, and debugging to resolve issues.
  • Participate in design reviews and code inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Collaborate with business teams to understand requirements and provide technical guidance.
  • Assist in data migration, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, code, and processes.
  • Stay updated with Guidewire product updates and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience in Guidewire InsuranceSuite development (PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter).
  • Strong knowledge of Guidewire Studio, GOSU scripting language, and configurations.
  • Experience with Java, SQL, XML, and web services (REST/SOAP).
  • Familiarity with insurance domain processes and workflows.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Guidewire certification(s) are a plus.
