Role Overview
The Civil Engineer will design, manage, and deliver civil/muncipal and site-development engineering projects from initial concept through construction. The ideal candidate will work closely with surveyors, architects, clients (municipal, state, federal), contractors, and internal design teams. You'll be responsible for producing engineering designs, creating construction documents, ensuring regulatory compliance, participating in permitting, and supporting field oversight where necessary.

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Lead civil/site design efforts (grading, drainage, stormwater management, utilities) for municipal, commercial, institutional, or federal projects.
- Prepare permit applications and entitlement submissions, working with local, state, and federal agencies to secure necessary approvals.
- Produce construction plans, bid sets, specifications, technical drawings, and construction details.
- Coordinate with land surveyors, architects, landscape architects, MEP engineers, contractors, and clients to integrate project requirements.
- Perform cost estimates and value engineering to maintain budgetary control and identify cost-effective solutions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant civil engineering standards, codes, and environmental regulations.
- Provide support during construction: answering RFIs, reviewing submittals, conducting site inspections, and assisting with construction closeout.
- Mentor junior engineers / designers, contribute to continuous improvement of design and delivery processes.
