Update: San Francisco, CA........... mostly remote with some onsite visits
The consultants must have active and valid passports, as well as an eagerness and 100% willingness to travel when needed (both domestically (primarily) and internationally).
Demonstrable, expert-level knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and industrial engineering principles, specifically applied to physical workflows (likely the lead, to be the person for this)
Proven experience in process analysis and re-engineering for robotics and automation in complex environments (e.g., manufacturing, logistics, pharma, or data centers).
Strong analytical and financial modeling capabilities. (one of the supporting analysts must be able to execute on this and also have process documentation capability)
Ability to operate globally and deploy resources to various data center campuses (travel required from team members).
Ability to meet customer's strict data security, confidentiality, and on-site safety requirements.
Proposed Team Structure (Pilot Phase):
We propose a pilot phase to establish this capability, likely at one of our primary US data center campuses. We expect the vendor to propose a team, but we envision a "pilot team" structure similar to the following:
1x Engagement Lead (Senior Automation Strategist):
- Single point of contact, responsible for service delivery, stakeholder management, and QBRs.
- Recommended: Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, strong background in automation strategy.
2x Automation Solutions Analysts (likely one of these will be the one in bold and underlined):
- On-site resources responsible for executing the SOW (discovery, mapping, analysis).
- Recommended: Bachelor's/Master's in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Expertise in process mapping tools (e.g., Vizio, Lucidchart) and data analysis. (there is a focus on creating process documentation for before and after automation solutions)
Keep in mind that all three roles need to have robotics backgrounds. Once the Pilot has been successfully rolled out, there are 50+ more sites to roll out and the pilot site will be the benchmark and template for the additional rollouts.
