We are seeking a talented Technical Designer to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative apparel while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Support the technical design team in the development of new styles and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Evaluate fit and construction of prototypes, providing clear direction on design aesthetics and fit intent.
- Lead fit sessions and communicate necessary corrections to vendors through detailed instructions.
- Collaborate with design and product development teams to execute design intent and manage the fit approval cycle.
- Track workflow and ensure deadlines are met while identifying potential production and quality issues.
- Engage in competitive analysis and present technical data to cross-functional teams.
Skills
- Technical education in garment fit and construction or equivalent work experience.
- 3-5 years of industry experience in apparel, particularly in technical design.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with product development technical specification programs (PDM, PLM, etc.).
- Familiarity with 3D software such as Clo3D or Browzwear.
- Knowledge of patternmaking and garment construction techniques.
- Ability to adapt to changing business needs and work in a fast-paced environment.
