Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Zscaler Security Engineer for an on-site contracting opportunity in Dallas, TX. The ideal candidate will have deep experience designing, implementing, and supporting Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) within enterprise environments, with a strong background in network security and zero-trust architecture.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, deploy, and manage Zscaler ZIA and ZPA solutions in a large-scale enterprise environment.
Configure secure access policies, SSL inspection, web filtering, and traffic redirection.
Integrate Zscaler with identity providers (Azure AD, Okta, etc.) and SIEM tools.
Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity, application access, and performance issues related to Zscaler.
Work with security, network, and endpoint teams to ensure consistent policy enforcement.
Develop and maintain documentation including diagrams, playbooks, and SOPs.
Support transition from legacy proxy/VPN solutions to Zscaler-based models.
Collaborate with vendors, internal stakeholders, and project managers to ensure timely delivery.
Required Skills & Experience:
8+ years in IT security, networking, or infrastructure roles.
Minimum 3 years hands-on experience with Zscaler ZIA/ZPA.
Strong understanding of Zero Trust architecture and cloud security principles.
Experience with IPsec/GRE tunnels, PAC files, policy management, and browser configurations.
Proficiency in identity federation and authentication protocols (SAML, OAuth).
Familiarity with endpoint agents and mobile device traffic redirection.
Ability to troubleshoot and analyze logs using Zscaler portal and syslog.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
