Job Details
Job Summary (List Format):
- Lead the analysis and documentation of a complex legacy data solution built on SQL Server using heavy Dynamic SQL.
- Map current data flows, transformations, and integrations within the existing system.
- Develop detailed documentation and data flow diagrams to support the migration to a modern Databricks platform.
- Identify technical dependencies and business impacts of modularizing the legacy solution.
- Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to accurately represent the current-state architecture.
- Provide recommendations for migration sequencing, risk mitigation, and transition planning.
- Support the development of migration playbooks and technical documentation for future-state implementation.
Key Requirements:
- Advanced expertise in Dynamic SQL and query optimization.
- Demonstrated experience documenting complex data flows and system interactions.
- Strong skills in impact analysis for architectural changes, particularly modularization or phased migration.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work both independently and in collaborative, fast-paced environments.
- Must be based in Downtown Cincinnati, OH (hybrid role).
