Description
SAIC is looking for a Mechanical Engineer in Crane, IN to support the U.S. Navy.
This position serves as the primary engineering support for the environmental test area. The person in this position will leverage technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills to ensure continued operation of environmental test area while also providing engineering services to customer such as fixture design and instrumentation support. The person in this position will have the opportunity to develop and implement projects to enhance capabilities of the environmental test area while serving as a critical member of the environmental test team and helping build and maintain strategic relationships with customers and industry partners.

Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline and a minimum of 2 years of related experience
- Interim secret needed to start with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance; SAIC will sponsor the clearance process
- Experience with 3D CAD and FEA (Finite Element Analysis)
- Ability to communicate technical information effectively to a variety of audiences in oral or written formats
- Technical product development experience, including design for manufacturing and development of technical specifications/drawings to support procurement
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
