Summary:
We seek a highly motivated Engineering Program Manager to lead and track engineering projects in telecommunications, including RAN, Core Networks, and external initiatives. The role involves managing cross-functional teams, collaborating with vendors and stakeholders, and proactively addressing potential challenges. This individual will also communicate detailed project statuses and must have a strong technical background in networking and telecommunications. Project status to both internal and external stakeholders and must possess strong understanding of networking and telecommunication concepts.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day project and engineering program activities and their status, drive their completion from the planning stage to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time.
Serve as the primary contact for external customers and vendors regarding project statuses, issues, and deliverables.
Drive non-engineering tasks such as hosting meetings, addressing queries from engineering, sales, vendors, and product management teams.
Escalate issues to the appropriate engineering teams and ensure they clearly understand priorities.
Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
Work cross functionally to develop and refine project timelines, product requirements Conduct post-project evaluations to gather learnings, retrospective feedback, and implement process improvements.
Effective upward communication and timely escalation are essential.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in technical degree such as Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
5+ years of experience in project and engineering program management, focused on telecommunications or wireless industry.
Additional expertise in projects across Core, RAN and other telecom technologies.
Proficiency in waterfall, scrum, and agile methodologies.
Experience with program management tools such as JIRA.
Demonstrated ability to work with external stakeholders (e.g., vendors, clients, network operators, chipset manufacturers).
Comfortable in fast-paced, dynamic environments, adapting quickly to changing priorities
Strong communication, documentation and presentation skills
