Special Education Teacher

Special Education Teacher (Self-Contained, Elementary)
Location: Glendale, Arizona

Key Responsibilities
Design and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with AZ state standards & student IEPs.
Provide individualized instruction and accommodations to meet diverse learning needs.
Collaborate with families, general education teachers, and specialists to support student growth.
Conduct assessments and track progress toward IEP goals.
Foster a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom community.
Promote social-emotional development through positive behavior supports and interventions.

Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in Special Education or related field (Master s preferred).
Valid Arizona Special Education Teaching Certification (or eligibility to obtain).
Knowledge of IEP development, accommodations, and behavioral strategies.
Experience in a self-contained classroom or with elementary students preferred.
Strong communication, teamwork, and classroom management skills.
