The Quality Assurance Engineer will support our software developers, release managers, business analysts and product owners on requirements, testing initiatives and production releases. QA Engineers will work to ensure optimal delivery of solutions consistently throughout ongoing projects. They must be self-directed and comfortable supporting the testing needs of multiple teams, systems and products. The right candidate will be excited by the prospect of building the organizations testing capabilities for in a growing environment.

Reporting into the Quality Assurance and Architect Manager, the role requires self-motivated, conscientious and responsible individual with the ability to perform well under pressure.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead QA initiatives within the project/organization assigned
• Work with business to align expectations in line with quality practices
• Analyze defects, metrics and conduct hand-on testing
• Identify automation opportunities and incorporate those opportunities into the general automation implementation/strategy
• Other duties as assigned

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• 5-7 years IT experience in a Software QA or Automation development capacity
• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or Related fields
• 2+ years working with Automated testing frameworks and supporting tools such as Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber, Maven and Ranorex
• Experience with testing web services (e.g., RESTful APIs) and tools associated (e.g., SOAP UI, Fiddler, etc.)
• Experience operating and delivering in an agile environment such as SAFe/scrum/kanban.
• Proficiency use of Microsoft Office programs including Visio, Word, Outlook and strong Excel skills
• Experience working with various Test Management solutions such as ALM, Zephyr, TFS Test Module, etc.
• Experience in creating/modifying and DB queries from SQL or MongoDB based databases
• A successful history of manipulating, processing and extracting value from large, disconnected datasets
• Good communication skills, written and oral, for example ensuring sales agents are kept informed of any delays in turning around pricing requests, or outlining the rationale behind a decision not to approve credit for a customer
• Analytical mindset, demonstrate ability to problem solve and create practical solutions to overcome problems and mitigate risks
• Comfortable working in a target-driven and fast-changing environment, and able to respond to changing business needs
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent analytical, organization and time management skills, with the ability to maintain a strict level of attention to detail
• Ability to work well within a team environment and demonstrate a vested interest in team goals and objectives
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships
• Self-motivated with the desire to consistently improve performance and gain further knowledge
• Ability to meet deadlines, learn quickly and demonstrate effective problem solving and follow-up skills
