Job Details
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and DB2
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Perform unit testing and support system and integration testing
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues and performance problems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards
- Document technical designs, processes, and procedures
- Support production deployments and post-implementation activities
- Assist in the modernization and integration of mainframe systems
- Ensure compliance with security and data protection standards
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in mainframe development
- Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS
- Experience with VSAM, TSO/ISPF, and Endevor
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
- Knowledge of DevOps tools and practices is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
