Cloud Computing Specialist

ECS is seeking a Cloud Computing Specialist to work Remote . Please Note: This position is contingent upon additional funding.

Job Description:

Oversee the development of future Cloud based component architectures and migration plans. Conceive, design, prototype, and test new methods, algorithms, and models. Define and enforce appropriate technical standards and procedures. Lead the research and development of new Cloud based products and applications. Define system, technical and application architectures for major areas of development.

• Responsible for collaborating on and setting cloud vision; providing thought leadership in cloud infrastructure and cloud services architecture to meet operational objectives for cloud solutions
• Consulting with customer as a cloud computing specialist about cloud technologies such as IaaS, SaaS, PaaS, Public/Hybrid/Community Cloud Service Provider offerings, cloud management tools, and converged infrastructure.
• Designing technical architecture for cloud solutions that meet client needs for scalability, reliability and performance.
• Identifying new cloud technologies and platforms to help solve technical challenges or limitations in the existing infrastructure.
• Working with team of SMEs, change managers, integration engineers, system engineers and business analysts, for discovery and assessment of the current environment and for architecting business enabling solutions to consume services from the cloud.
• Developing solutions that facilitate migrating, developing, or enriching applications in the cloud.

Salary Range: $130,000-$160,000

Required Skills:

• Minimum of 6+ years experience
• Experience in application architecture, design, development, testing, release and maintenance.
• Experience in implementing enterprise applications in cloud environments (public, private or hybrid).
• Understanding of designing, developing and implementing enterprise applications using technologies such as J2EE, JavaScript, Coldfusion,Spring, JBoss, Oracle, RESTFul Web Services, HTML/CSS, jQuery, Unix/Linux, etc.
• Provide thought and technical design leadership to cloud solutioning.
• Serve as a technical SME for cloud services, providers, and platforms.
• Act as a change agent for technologies and supporting processes to maximize results measured by performance and availability, business agility, technology freshness, and cost optimization.
• Support cloud application architecting sessions with business partners evaluating tradeoffs between design, risk, and technology.
• Execute prototypes and technical feasibility assessments for cloud solutions.
• Apply advanced technical knowledge and skills in developing solutions or problem solving where complexity, innovation and technical expertise are required.
• BS in technical field; MS or higher preferred
• Public Trust Clearance

Desired Skills:

• Experience working in an agile development environment.
• Experience with DevOps concepts.
• Experience in all aspect of development of cloud applications (architecture layers, continuous integration pipeline, performance on distributed systems, security, scalability and availability).
