Job Title: Microsoft Systems Engineer

Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled Microsoft Systems Engineer for a fully remote, 6-month contract. The role involves managing enterprise-level Microsoft infrastructure, including Active Directory services, Windows Servers, and endpoint systems. The engineer will handle patch management, performance monitoring, and Tier III escalation support for Windows environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain Microsoft domain environments, including:
Active Directory (AD), ADFS, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), and Local Administrator Password Solution (LAPS)
Perform enterprise-wide patching and updates for:
Windows operating systems and standard desktop/server applications
Deploy, monitor, and maintain Windows Server infrastructure for optimal performance, reliability, and scalability.
Serve as Tier III escalation point for the desktop support team.
Provide expert-level support for:
Windows 10/11 environments
Microsoft Office deployment and troubleshooting
Collaborate with security and compliance teams to maintain system integrity.
Document processes, procedures, and solutions for knowledge sharing.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
5+ years of experience as a Microsoft Systems Engineer or similar role.
Strong understanding of Microsoft technologies, including AD, ADFS, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and LAPS.
Hands-on experience deploying and supporting Windows 10/11 in enterprise environments.
Proven experience in Windows Server administration and monitoring.
Familiarity with patching tools such as WSUS, SCCM, Intune, or similar.
Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Microsoft certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE, Microsoft 365 Certified).
Experience with Intune, SCCM, or Endpoint Manager.
Knowledge of cloud-based Active Directory (Azure AD).
