Description
Coordinate with internal departments to assess integration capabilities, data sources, and solution designs for feasibility, cost, and functionality. Conduct design sessions with architects and engineers; create detailed design documents and functional specifications for new applications and services. Collaborate on configuration designs for various environments and create work effort estimates for new features and bug fixes for prioritization and release management. Develop core code modules, unit test tools, and release notes for enhancements and bug fixes, and review development tools for functionality. Install, configure, administer, and provide on-call support for OSS applications, using established change management processes to minimize customer impact. Work with database administrators to configure, tune and maintain databases, and document systems configurations, upgrades, and disaster recovery plans. Monitor and manage applications, device availability, network conditions, system reliability, performance, service and program maintenance, and storage resources.
** This role will be focused on "Run and Maintain" Tasks not high-level design work. **
Maintain and support Linux-based systems in a production environment
Administer OpenStack, VMware, and OpenShift (used by a dedicated dev team)
Handle data center resource requests and provisioning
Patch servers and perform system updates
Configure virtual ports (VPs) on load balancers
Monitor system performance and ensure operational stability
Collaborate with DBAs and engineers on integration and documentation
Participate in on-call support and follow change management protocols
