Job Details

Qualifications and responsibilities for Guidewire Billing Center Business Analyst:

  • Work with business stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze billing and payment-related business requirements.

  • Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria for development and QA teams.

  • Act as the primary liaison between business teams, technical teams, and vendors during BillingCenter implementation and enhancements.

  • Analyze existing billing processes and recommend improvements leveraging Guidewire best practices.

  • Collaborate with configuration and integration teams to design and validate BillingCenter solutions.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in P&C insurance or financial systems.

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with Guidewire BillingCenter (configuration, implementation, or support).

  • Strong understanding of:

    • Billing types: Direct Bill, Agency Bill, Account Bill

    • Invoicing, payments, write-offs, refunds, commissions, and delinquency processes

    • Integration with PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and external systems (payment gateways, GL, etc.)

  • Experience writing BRDs, FSDs, user stories, process flows, and data mapping.

  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like JIRA and Confluence.
