Qualifications and responsibilities for Guidewire Billing Center Business Analyst:
Work with business stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze billing and payment-related business requirements.
Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria for development and QA teams.
Act as the primary liaison between business teams, technical teams, and vendors during BillingCenter implementation and enhancements.
Analyze existing billing processes and recommend improvements leveraging Guidewire best practices.
Collaborate with configuration and integration teams to design and validate BillingCenter solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in P&C insurance or financial systems.
2+ years of hands-on experience with Guidewire BillingCenter (configuration, implementation, or support).
Strong understanding of:
Billing types: Direct Bill, Agency Bill, Account Bill
Invoicing, payments, write-offs, refunds, commissions, and delinquency processes
Integration with PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and external systems (payment gateways, GL, etc.)
Experience writing BRDs, FSDs, user stories, process flows, and data mapping.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like JIRA and Confluence.
