Capgemini Government Solutions (CGGS) LLC is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Salesforce Test Automation Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing automated and manual testing for Salesforce applications and integrations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the quality and reliability of releases while collaborating with development and business stakeholders to align testing with business needs.
Job Responsibilities
As a Salesforce Test Automation Engineer, you will:
- Coordinate and schedule regression and functional test events in collaboration with development teams and business users.
- Track known issues, document test results, and report defects, ensuring timely resolution by working closely with development teams.
- Configure and manage test automation tools to support streamlined and scalable testing processes.
- Develop comprehensive test plans and detailed test procedures aligned with product requirements and release cycles.
- Work closely with Business Analysts, Project Managers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and define corresponding test strategies.
- Review and enhance existing test artifacts and design new test cases and scripts for upcoming Salesforce releases.
- Implement and manage quality control gates to ensure only thoroughly tested features move through the release pipeline.
- Support estimation of testing resources and timelines; define and track key testing metrics, including defect rates and test coverage.
- Drive automation of test plans for multiple Salesforce modules transitioned to operations and maintenance.
- Lead quality assurance initiatives to support high-quality releases and contribute to continuous improvement of testing standards and practices.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in testing Salesforce applications.
- Hands-on experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Provar, or Eggplant.
- Solid understanding of Salesforce modules such as Service Cloud or Health Cloud and their business use cases.
- Proven experience in creating, executing, and managing both manual and automated test cases.
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum frameworks and how testing is integrated into iterative development.
- Proficiency with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira and TestRail.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail in identifying and resolving issues.
Additional Qualifications:
- Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Administrator, Platform App Builder) are a plus.
- Experience with continuous integration/continuous testing practices in a Salesforce DevOps environment.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as JavaScript or Python for test automation scripting.
- Experience with performance testing tools like LoadRunner or JMeter in the Salesforce context.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective stakeholder interaction.
- Passion for process efficiency and test automation maturity.

The disclosed range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, geographic location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, performance, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs. At Capgemini, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. The base salary range for the tagged location is 80K-100K.
This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission. Full time regular employees are eligible for paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.
