Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Analyst to support our Archives and Records Management (ARM) initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing business processes related to records lifecycle management, ensuring compliance with information governance policies, and driving improvements in digital archiving and retention systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Gather and document business requirements for records and information management (RIM) systems.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define workflows for physical and digital records.
Analyze existing records management practices and recommend process improvements.
Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal information governance standards.
Assist in the selection, implementation, and optimization of document and records management systems (e.g., SharePoint, OpenText, FileNet).
Define and manage metadata, classification schemes, retention schedules, and disposal policies.
Facilitate training sessions and workshops on records and archives best practices.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Management, or related field.
3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in Records or Information Management.
Familiarity with records retention schedules, digital archiving, and document control procedures.
Strong understanding of data governance, privacy, and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
Experience with tools like SharePoint, OpenText, FileNet, M-Files, etc.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
