Role Overview: As the first dedicated Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in establishing, shaping, and leading the DevOps culture and practices within our organization. This role requires a highly skilled professional with robust experience in cloud infrastructure, automation, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) methodologies. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our infrastructure and operational processes to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability.

This role requires a highly skilled professional with robust experience in cloud infrastructure, automation, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) methodologies. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our infrastructure and operational processes to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage cloud-based infrastructure on the Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) supporting real-time data analytics and machine learning operations.
- Develop and maintain scalable and automated CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, ensuring efficient code deployments.
- Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using Terraform to manage cloud infrastructure efficiently across environments.
- Lead monitoring, reliability, and security best practices for our production environments.
- Advocate and promote DevOps culture and practices, working closely with software engineering teams to enhance development pipelines through automation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development, test, and production environments, ensuring operational continuity.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, and recommend tools and practices to improve our operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in a DevOps role, specifically in a cloud environment.
- Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform services and management.
- In-depth experience with CI/CD tools, particularly GitHub Actions.
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), primarily using Terraform.
- Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration.
- Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar.
- Experience with system monitoring tools and automated logging solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively interact with remote teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in Google Cloud Platform and Terraform.
- Experience in startup environments where rapid prototyping and iterative changes are common.
- Previous experience in setting up DevOps practices from scratch in a growing organization.
