Job Title: Network Design Engineer
Location: Dallas, TX (uptown area of Dallas, near downtown)
Type of Role: Hybrid, (onsite 3 days per week)
Compensation: Salary between $125,000 to $135,000 + annual bonus
Work Authorization: , Holders or Authorized to Work in the US without sponsorship, either now or in the future.

What you will do:
Team Lead Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of network implementation engineers, fostering skill development and collaboration.
- Serve as the technical escalation point for complex network implementation issues.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to define project scopes, timelines, and deliverables.
- Design, deploy, and implement Cisco networking solutions, including routers, switches (Catalyst, Nexus), and wireless LAN controllers.
- Configure and implement Palo Alto firewalls, leveraging advanced security features such as App-ID, Threat Prevention, and VPNs.
- Deploy and manage wireless solutions, including conducting RF site surveys, optimizing wireless coverage, and configuring access points.
- Implement and manage Cisco Meraki solutions, including switches, wireless, and security appliances, ensuring seamless integration across the enterprise network.
- Optimize network performance by configuring routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and implementing QoS policies.
- Troubleshoot complex network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient resolution.
- Analyze network performance metrics and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Ensure network implementations adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements (e.g., PCI-DSS, HIPAA, NIST).
- Implement secure VPN solutions (IPSec, SSL) and enforce firewall policies for data protection.
- Collaborate with security teams to integrate Zero Trust principles into the network design.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Develop and maintain detailed network implementation plans, diagrams, and configuration documentation.
- Provide post-implementation support and training to internal teams.
- Present project status updates and technical insights to stakeholders and management.
Who you are:
Required Skills:
- Expertise in Cisco technologies, including Catalyst/Nexus switches, routers, and wireless solutions (CCNP/CCIE preferred).
- Proficiency in configuring and managing Palo Alto firewalls (PCNSE certification preferred).
- Strong experience with wireless technologies, including RF planning, Cisco WLC, and Meraki wireless solutions.
- Hands-on experience deploying and managing Cisco Meraki products (e.g., MR, MS, MX, Meraki Dashboard).
- Advanced knowledge of networking protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, IPv4/IPv6).
- Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (SolarWinds, Wireshark, Meraki Insights).
- Knowledge of SD-WAN technologies and hybrid cloud integrations.
- Familiarity with automation tools (Python, Ansible) to streamline deployment processes.
- Experience with network segmentation and Zero Trust architecture.
- Strong understanding of security frameworks and compliance standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in network implementation, design, and leadership roles.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, PCNSE, CWNP) are highly desirable.
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Effective communication and collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
