Job Details
Under limited supervision, performs one or more of the following activities on the company's internal networks: configuration management, system administration, security administration, network administration, development system implementation, production system implementation. Responds to issues related to environment, hardware, system, and/or software and implements resolution across technology areas. Supports multiple systems simultaneously and provides leadership for large project efforts. Provides support or lead activities related to change management, outage management and/or project management.
This engineer position will be based at the FXE Memphis Hub location. Primary responsibility will be supporting the networks at all FXE Hubs in the US. These hubs primarily run Cisco Nexus hardware running ACI. A thorough knowledge and experience in supporting Cisco ACI is required. Applicant must be located in the Memphis, TN area.

Minimum Education
Bachelor's degree in IT-related engineering, computer science or information systems or related field.
Minimum Experience
Five (5) years work experience in engineering or information technology environment. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements.
Domicile Information:
The individual must be located in Memphis and work onsite at various FedEx locations. The primary domicile address is 2955 Republican Dr, 2nd Floor, Memphis, TN 38118.
Preferred Qualifications:
Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.

- Individual responsibilities may include but are not limited to network configuration/implementation, automation, scripting, and technical documentation.
- Supports critical network infrastructure installations from a Tier-3 perspective at Field locations.
- Identify and solve issues that affect network performance on a day-to-day basis, which can require unusual work hours.
- Engineer maintains and troubleshoots networks that use Cisco technologies such as routers and switches.
- Advanced level troubleshooting in a large-scale network environment.
- Design and deploy Cisco ACI solutions.
- Automate and integrate ACI with existing infrastructure.
- Ensure optimal performance and resolve complex issues.
- Participate in 24/7 Tier 3 on-call rotation to provide network support/troubleshooting.
- Available to travel for business needs (20% travel possible).
Skills/Knowledge/Experience Considered a Plus:
- Extensive knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies.
- Understanding of Cisco CLI to configure network equipment.
- Knowledge of Cisco ACI, APIC, and Nexus hardware preferred.
- Experience in the architecture, design, and implementation of wired networks.
- Ability to produce detailed documentation including network diagrams, logical diagrams and physical diagrams as needed (technical writing skills also a plus).
- Network Cabling knowledge (fiber and copper).
- Basic knowledge of network monitoring tools.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation. Proficiency in Python and REST APIs preferred.
- Cisco CCNA, CCNP, CCDP or equivalent is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP routing Protocols
- A basic understanding of Spanning Tree Protocol.
- A basic understanding of generic Fabric Technology.
- Ability to lift 45lbs.
