QA/QC Specialist Concur Travel and Expense Implementation (Consultant/Contractor)

Position and Project Overview

Client is implementing a modern Travel and Expense solution using SAP Concur. This QA/QC Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring solution quality across all implementation phases, including test planning, execution, validation, and defect resolution. The consultant will work closely with the implementation partner, internal business owners, and technical teams to deliver a compliant, high-performing, and user-friendly system.

Must Haves

  • Direct experience supporting at least one full-cycle implementation of SAP Concur or a comparable Travel & Expense platform.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute test plans for enterprise SaaS implementations, including traceability and compliance validation.
  • Experience designing and executing test cases for system integration testing (SIT), regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Familiarity with defect triage processes and quality sign-off procedures.
  • Ability to coordinate across business, technical, and vendor teams in fast-paced project environments.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience supporting QA/QC for travel, finance, or procurement systems in public-sector or utility settings.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Workday, particularly around expense and AP integration.
  • ISTQB (Certified Tester) or equivalent QA certification preferred.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills, including tracking of test results, issues, and mitigation plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive QA plan aligned with project milestones and technical configurations.
  • Create and manage a traceability matrix covering all business and technical requirements.
  • Validate availability and completeness of unit testing performed by vendors or technical leads.
  • Design and execute system integration tests and regression suites for workflows involving SAP Concur and connected systems.
  • Define and execute smoke tests before SIT, UAT, and go-live deployment.
  • Facilitate and track defect resolution using structured triage and escalation practices.
  • Prepare UAT entry and exit criteria; assist business testers and document outcomes.
  • Establish defect triage protocols, manage test data, and verify end-to-end traceability through QA sign-off.
  • Contribute to go/no-go assessments and support hypercare stabilization.
