Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an Data Scientist w/ OpenAI GPT Suite Experience for a long-term contract/consulting assignment with one of our premier Management/Advisory Consulting clients based out of Chicago, IL. THe right candidate should be EST/CST based (will be working an EST schedule) and must have demonstrable experience with OpenAI's GPT Suite and an understanding of how LLMs operate in a GenAI environment. Must have an exceptional track record in data science, and experience with multimodal LLMs and multifunction agents.

Responsibilities :
- As a member of the operations analysis team, you will work on applying state-of-the-art generative AI to an internal product.that has a firm-wide impact and adoption.
- Leveraging cutting-edge technology, we aim to revolutionize how we conduct and synthesize knowledge research, enabling firm members to deliver impactful stories effortlessly
- Hands-on work with the latest multimodal LLMs, conducting experiments and deploying production pipelines that utilize generative models (such as GPT-like models) for automating knowledge search, curation, and synthesis processes. This includes model training, fine-tuning, evaluation, and iteration, enhancing creativity and content generation.
- Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, machine learning engineers, designers, and project managers on interdisciplinary projects. Utilize mathematics, statistics, machine learning, and generative AI to extract structure and insights from raw data across diverse industry sectors
Required Skills:
- 3 years of experience in AI or Machine Learning
- Deep theoretical and practical knowledge of NLP, Transformers, LLMs, and Generative AI
- Required experience with OpenAI's GPT suite, including previous experience with their multimodal LLMs: GPT4V, GPT4o
- Theoretical understanding of how LLMs can be leveraged to build classification models, re-rankers, and recommendation systems
- Strong programming skills: well-versed with building end-to-end data models and pipelines in Python according to the best engineering practices
- Experience with AI/ML related Python libraries such as SciKit (must have), PyTorch, and/or TensorFlow
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with conversational agents
- Understanding of Semantic Search, specifically with Transformers, and familiarity with the relevant Python Libraries (e.g., SentenceTransformers, BERT)
- Experience with product development and working in software engineering / Agile teams
