Job Details

Job Title: Mainframe Systems Administrator (TSS, z/OS, JES2, TLS, JOBTRAC)

Location: TX (Remote )

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification

Mandatory Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with Top Secret Security (TSS) administration and configuration
  • Hands-on experience with z/OS system administration
  • Experience working with JES2, z/OS Unix System Services (OMVS), and Storage Management Subsystem (SMS)
  • Experience with TLS configuration, including certificates, SSL (RSA keys), SFTP, and FTPS
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with performance monitoring and initial analysis of system performance issues
  • Experience with Informatica PowerExchange Administration
  • Working knowledge of z/OS Operations
  • Working knowledge of z/OS Networking, including VTAM and TCP/IP
  • Familiarity with z/OS job scheduling and management tools such as JOBTRAC
  • Experience with terminal emulator software (e.g., BlueZone)
  • Knowledge of VTAM session manager software (e.g., VTAM/SWITCH)
  • Working knowledge of SMP/E, RMF, SMF, and WLM
  • Proficiency with JCL, GRS, VSAM, and TSO
  • Experience with REXX scripting
Responsibilities
  • Administer, configure, and maintain z/OS systems to ensure stability, performance, and security
  • Manage and support Top Secret Security (TSS) configurations and access controls
  • Support JES2 operations, USS/OMVS, and storage management activities
  • Configure and maintain secure communications using TLS, SSL certificates, SFTP, and FTPS
  • Monitor system performance, analyze issues, and recommend improvements
  • Support job scheduling, system automation, and operational workflows
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system, security, and performance-related issues
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support enterprise mainframe operations
  • Maintain clear and accurate technical documentation
  • Follow organizational standards and best practices for system administration
