Job Details

The IT Infrastructure Manager leads a team of administrators and support staff and manages relationships with outsourced providers to make sure associated hardware, software, and network are stable and scalable, perform within agreed targets, and provide a secure platform for the company's business operations.

1. Guarantee overall stability and scalability of the technical infrastructure (hardware, software, networking, and communications systems)

Ensure the health and availability of all network systems & components

Ensure infrastructure systems security, including patching and auditing

Ensure proactive monitoring of network and server components

Employ backup, risk mitigation, and disaster recovery programs

Employ a strategy of maintaining technology lifecycles

2. Provide effective support models through internal resources and management of relationships with vendors and outsourced providers

  • Manage effective internal and external support models for all solutions
  • Liaison to ensure proactive, timely follow-through in all areas
  • Oversee Help Desk and Ticket system procedures as necessary
  • Actively manage vendors, hosting, and support providers
  • Assure that SLAs and company policies are adhered to by all groups

3. Ensure proper deployment and support of infrastructure projects including licensing, installation, configuration, and maintenance

  • Oversee effective architecture planning and implementations
  • Ensure system implementations and procedures are documented
  • Guarantee adherence to licensing and compliance standards

4. Support the organization through effective communication, prioritization of work effort, and management of deliverables

  • Work closely with leadership to foster mutual awareness of priorities
  • Interact with and support user groups and individuals in the workforce
  • Ensure service degradations are communicated in a timely manner
  • Seek opportunities for internal process improvements and cost savings
  • Drive improvement in the technical capability and literacy of the business

5. Perform normal management duties

  • Plan, budget, and set expectations, goals and deliverables
  • Vision planning, delegating, and maintaining quality standards
  • Assist with the development and enforcement of policies & SOPs
  • Complete employee reviews and provide coaching for individuals

This is a leadership position that directly impacts the availability and stability of our solutions. The IT Manager Infrastructure is responsible for a considerable budget related to both assets and vendor relationships.
