Requirements for Customer Program Managers for CNS S&C MS NAM:

• Qualifications: Hands on and detailed oriented Program Manager with telecom background and at least 5 years of experience in deployment of telecom solutions to telecom service providers in the US.

Overall, we are looking for individuals with a PM DNA who take ownership and responsibility for the assigned programs or projects, work with minimal supervision, and are able to represent client in front of the customer.

Good communication skills including English fluency is a must.

The focus on this position is on managing the end-to-end programs which include managing projects as well as managing project managers who support the program. Managing of projects include creating schedules, defining resource plan, tracking project costs, tracking deliverables, reporting status, reviewing statement of work, creating presentations, setting meetings, and leading the engineers, technical managers, and architects in the project team. Other activities include supporting pre-sales activities and identifying new sources of revenue. Knowledge of SW development lifecycle is a plus and well as managing the quality of the SW deliveries from either client or 3^rd parties. Other activities include managing Maintenance Windows, creating Maintenance Window documentation, creating Power Point Deck for status reporting, and being the single point of escalation for project issues. Also desired good proficiency on MS-Office tools especially MS-Project.

Expert level technical knowledge is not a requirement but willingness to learn and keep up with new technology is a must. We value a technical background and experience specially in telecommunications.

Projects may involve and require high level knowledge of Packet Core, VNF concepts, 5G, Cloud migration, and AWS integration and deployment as well as knowledge of IMS/SDL concepts and architecture, and strong preference on 5G and Cloud deployments. Special focus might include messaging services including MMSC, SMS-GW and MSA platforms. Projects might include lab testing in client or in customer labs, green field deployments, expansion, migration, virtualization, upgrades, and Care work. Experience with hardware deployments and managing hardware inventory and shipments may also be required for specific projects. Experience with Big data, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning projects could be a requirement for specific projects.

We are looking for Program Directors who could take leadership after the onboarding period and grow in the role technically and with soft skills. PMI PMP certification is a plus. Previous client's experience in either project management or technical roles is a plus.

(Construction, RF , Pure RAN, non-telecom IT such as Health or Financial industry applications experienced PMs might not be a good fit for this position. Engineers or technical managers who want to remain very technical will not be a good fit for this position. This is a management/leadership position balancing technical requirements, team logistics, schedules, and budgets as well as the customer relationship on behalf of Nokia)
