RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Engineer in North Haven, CT.
Duties:
* Senior Engineer will serve as technical lead on major bridge design, rehabilitation, and inspection projects
* Lead and provide oversight of structural analysis, load ratings, plan production, and specifications
* Guide the development and QA/QC of engineering deliverables to meet client and regulatory expectations
* Interface directly with DOTs, municipalities, contractors, and other stakeholders
* Lead proposal development, project scoping, scheduling, and budgeting
* As a Senior Engineer, you will mentor and provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level engineers
* Oversee field investigations, structural evaluations, and forensic assessments
* Stay current on industry standards, including AASHTO LRFD, AREMA, and emerging innovations in bridge design and construction
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required, (Master's preferred)
* Professional Engineer (PE) license required; SE license a plus
* 10+ years of bridge design experience, preferably on DOT or public infrastructure projects
* Proven track record working with DOTs and public agencies on infrastructure projects
* Expertise in bridge engineering software (e.g., CSiBridge, MIDAS, LARSA 4D, SAP2000) and drafting tools (AutoCAD, MicroStation)
* In-depth knowledge of structural systems, materials, and construction practices
* Strong leadership, communication, and client management skills
* Experience in FEA and complex analysis a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
