Job Details

Position Title: Senior Technology Architect Cloud & Integration
Location: Rosemead, CA (Hybrid)
Duration: 12 plus months with possible extension
Job Description:
The Senior Technology Architect Cloud & Integration is responsible for leading the development of objectives, conducting tests, analyzing issues, and devising solutions to complex engineering problems. Key duties include planning and designing systems and facilities such as lines, substations, system interconnections, and system protection. The role also encompasses designing system upgrades, restoration from failures, and implementing modifications in compliance with company, state, and federal regulations, standards, and requirements.

This position participates in or leads research, development, and demonstration projects involving emerging technologies, systems, and equipment. Areas of focus include metering, field equipment, materials, distributed energy resources, energy storage, and power system technologies. The architect develops multi-year plans, schedules, technical roadmaps, and establishes budgets and cost estimates, alongside mechanisms for tracking project progress and costs.

Additional responsibilities involve defining engineering standards, procedures, work methods, and specifications for equipment, and overseeing the review, publication, and implementation of approved standards. The Senior Technology Architect may act as a project manager, leading matrixed teams and vendors who are not direct reports but for whom they have direct accountability in achieving project objectives.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor s Degree in Engineering or in a scientific, technical, or math field is required.
  • A Professional Engineer s License is preferred, and in some cases, required by local, state, or federal agencies.
  • A Master s Degree in a related technical field is preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge and experience in a unique area of engineering expertise.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of applicable standards, codes, methods, and practices relevant to the area of expertise.
  • Ability to apply advanced engineering principles to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Possesses one to three years of engineering experience.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities and Workload:
  • Contribute to Technology Enablement and Analytics Portfolio as well as operational excellence initiatives by identifying opportunities for optimization, automation, and innovation.
  • Engage with diverse stakeholders to ensure technology solutions align with business needs.
  • Provide cross-platform architectural solutions to support enterprise-wide projects and multi-domain initiatives.
  • Collaborate with teams to enable AI-driven capabilities, enhancing platform performance, user experience, and cost efficiency.
  • Deliver strategic insights and recommendations through advanced analytics and portfolio planning.
  • Prepare and present executive-level presentations to effectively communicate strategy, progress, and outcomes.
Required Skills and Attributes:
  • SAP: Proficiency in Cloud Integration, HANA Cloud, SAP Integration Suite, SAP PI/PO.
  • Cloud: Deep expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
  • Integration & Architecture: Expertise with integration platforms, cross-platform architectural frameworks, and API Management, including IBM DataPower and Azure API Management.
  • Other Technologies: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft stack, Oracle, SQL, eDMRM, Snowflake, and OpenText.
  • Analytics: Advanced expertise in analytics, leveraging data for optimization and strategic decision-making.
  • Emerging Needs: Capability to enable AI-driven solutions, process automation, and enhance user experience.
Strategic and Project Management Skills:
  • Proficiency in advanced project management methodologies, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
  • Expertise in portfolio planning, aligning technology initiatives with organizational goals.
  • Experience in strategy development to drive innovative and impactful solutions.

  • Prior experience in SCE processes, with a proven record of managing cross-functional dependencies.
