About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced IoT Platform Engineer with strong expertise in Routing, Switching, and IoT technologies. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and implement lab frameworks to connect IoT endpoints to campus and branch networks, certify hardware/software features, and validate endpoint functionality. This role requires deep hands-on knowledge of Cisco technologies and related vendor solutions, with a strong background in SD-Access (SDA), 802.1x/NAC, TrustSec, and Cisco DNA Center (DNAC).

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain lab frameworks to connect IoT endpoints with campus and branch networks.

  • Certify hardware and software features as well as endpoint functionality.

  • Identify and test communication scenarios between IoT endpoints and edge devices.

  • Design, execute, and oversee testing of data gathering, aggregation, and analytics capabilities.

  • Work extensively with Cisco IOS-XE products, SD-Access, NAC, and TrustSec solutions.

  • Configure and manage Micro/Macro Segmentation policies and ensure robust security enforcement.

  • Utilize Cisco DNA Center (DNAC) for SD-Access management, automation, and orchestration.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and senior management on solution design, testing, and certification.

  • Provide documentation, knowledge transfer, and technical guidance to stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in Networking, Routing, Switching, and IoT integration.

  • CCIE Lab Certification (Mandatory).

  • Hands-on expertise with Cisco IOS-XE platforms, SD-Access (SDA), NAC (802.1x), and TrustSec.

  • Strong knowledge of Cisco DNA Center (DNAC), automation, and controller-based management.

  • Experience in designing/testing IoT connectivity, data aggregation, and analytics solutions.

  • Deep understanding of Micro/Macro Segmentation configurations.

  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to work across teams and executive levels.

  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex networking and IoT integration challenges.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with multi-vendor IoT solutions beyond Cisco.

  • Knowledge of cloud-based IoT platforms, APIs, and automation frameworks.

  • Familiarity with Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) and modern cybersecurity frameworks.

  • Background in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
