Overview:

We are seeking a .NET Microservices Developer to support our client in the successful integration and modernization of their enterprise systems. This role will be pivotal in developing scalable microservices and integrating legacy platforms like PeopleSoft with Workday while maintaining data integrity and system performance. The project aims to ensure a seamless transition without disruption to current business processes.

Duties:

  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable and resilient microservices using C# and .NET Core/ASP.NET Core.

  • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs ensuring high performance, security, and reliability.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver new features.

  • Work extensively with Oracle and SQL Server, including crafting complex queries and optimizing database design.

  • Integrate and ensure compatibility between legacy PeopleSoft systems and the Workday platform.

  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.

  • Implement Swagger/OpenAPI documentation to support API management and future integrations.

  • Contribute to containerization efforts using Docker and potentially Kubernetes.

  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes.

  • Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand current state systems.

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with C# and the .NET framework (.NET Core, ASP.NET Core).

  • Proven experience in developing microservices and secure RESTful APIs.

  • 4+ years of database experience with Oracle and SQL Server.

  • Understanding of database normalization and performance optimization.

  • Experience with legacy system integration, particularly PeopleSoft.

  • Strong documentation practices using Swagger.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Prior experience integrating PeopleSoft with Workday.

  • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration.

  • Experience working in Agile environments.

  • Previous work with large-scale enterprise applications.
