IT Operations Manager
Location: Toledo, OH
Term: Full Time
Reports To: Vice President, Information Technology


Position Summary
The IT Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the company's IT infrastructure, ensuring system reliability, security, and performance across all departments. This role leads cross-functional teams, manages IT projects, and drives continuous improvement in technology operations to support business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure Oversight: Manage and monitor network systems, servers, and hardware/software environments to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise IT support staff, including hiring, training, and performance management. Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
  • Project Management: Plan and execute IT initiatives, including infrastructure upgrades, system integrations, and application deployments.
  • Policy & Compliance: Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and security protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards and internal governance.
  • Vendor Relations: Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for procurement, support, and contract management.
  • Budgeting: Manage the IT operations budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and strategic investments in technology.
  • Incident Response: Lead troubleshooting efforts, disaster recovery planning, and root cause analysis for recurring technical issues.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for automation, process optimization, and technology enhancements to improve operational efficiency.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

Experience:
  • 7-10 years in IT operations or infrastructure management, preferably in manufacturing or multi-site environments.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proficiency in network architecture, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, and enterprise systems.
  • Certifications: ITIL, MCSE, or similar certifications preferred.

Preferred Attributes
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with integration planning and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proven experience with Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Cisco networking, and cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
  • Preferred experience with Meraki networking products and RingCentral phone systems.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and production planning tools (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics)
