Description
Our Customer is the largest producer of long steel in Latin America, with steel mills in Brazil, Argentina, Canada, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Peru, United States, Uruguay and Venezuela. Currently, they have an installed capacity of 26 million metric tons of steel per year and offers steel for the civil construction, automobile, industrial, agricultural and various sectors.
They are also the world's 30th largest steelmaker. It has 337 industrial and commercial units and more than 30,000 employees across 10 countries.
Their North American Headquarters is in Tampa, and their Digital IT group needs to bring on a SAP CO SME to support the costing function for their team. This group manages procurement/finance/cost areas for IT. They need experience with both FI and CO - emphasis on CO but will be working with both. This person will work alongside another consultant to support the core SAP system for the group. This role is responsible for both configuration work and analysis.
Work location: On-site at the Tampa office
Schedule: 4 days in the office, 1 day remote (Mondays on-site required)
Hiring type: Full-time employee from day one (not contract-to-hire)
Salary range: USD 150K - 160K
Key points to consider:
SAP CO knowledge is a strong priority; FI is also relevant but secondary.
Experience with integration to other modules, especially SAP PP/PC (Product Costing).
Solid configuration skills.
Strong communication and a collaborative mindset, a good team player.
Minimum CO Knowledge:
o Material Ledger
o Month-end closing processes
o Integration with PP
FI Knowledge (at least partial):
o Fixed Assets
o Accounts Payable / Receivable

It will be a plus to have experience with:
o Experience with S/4HANA
o Integration with VIM (Vendor Invoice Management)

YOUR CONTRIBUTION:
Act as an SAP architect and a catalyst of digital transformation to increase business agility and enable the strategy of the company, as well as the key liaison for his/her functional globally
Lead and collaborate with the development of best practices, guiding principles, solutions architecture, and roadmaps
Serve as a subject matter expert working with business processes peers solving problems, advising on various complex business-related issues
Advise and drive the use of technology to streamline business processes
Collaborate with leadership to develop ideas and solutions to present to business processes peers
Analyze, gather requirements, design business processes, define functional specifications, and configure solutions to improve efficiency and reduce costs
Configure, develop, and implement SAP systems, and smoothly integrate SAP applications with existing IT business solutions
Prepare test plan, test scripts for system testing, and functional testing, and implement the plan, as well as support for activities related to data conversion and resolve issues
Provide SAP system support, end-user training, and document SAP processes
Leads the analysis of the current technology environment to detect critical deficiencies, legacy and technical debt, and recommends solutions for improvement
Participate in projects as an SAP expert
Lead functional areas within projects and/or lead implementation projects
Keep abreast of the latest SAP offerings, updates, and developments
Work with Digital IT service providers to provide support to users, to deliver applications enhancements and on project activities
Develop and maintain strong relationships with business peers to gain their active support for the transformation agenda
Support leadership in developing and implementing Digital IT roadmaps, such as projects and enhancement
Develop solution concepts and business cases for new investments
Coaches, mentors and collaborates with technical subject matter experts and peers to develop technology architecture that enables and drives new business capabilities and operating models

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
SAP certifications preferred
Extensive SAP (module-specific) knowledge
Knowledge of IT processes, IT functions (development, infrastructure, security, governance), and technology (cloud, big data, architecture, APIs)
Knowledge of Agile, Project Management, and Innovation processes
Ability to work with teams in Application Managed Services (AMS) environment driving engagement with an ownership mindset
Ability to document SAP processes
Experience leading projects
Understanding of business processes and best practices to provide effective solutions
