Summary

Seeking a seasoned Product Manager for the following role -

Responsibilities

  • Own the product vision and roadmap for scheduling and playlist management tools used in linear broadcast playout, aligning with broader organizational strategies and goals.
  • Ensure the tools support dynamic scheduling scenarios, including last-minute changes, live event overrides, and contingency planning.
  • Partner with programming, operations, and engineering teams to gather requirements and prioritize enhancements.
  • Facilitate cross-functional communication to ensure scheduling tools meet the needs of schedulers, traffic managers, master control operators, and graphics coordinators.
  • Define and deliver features that improve playlist creation, validation, and real-time updates.
  • Support integrations with playout automation systems and metadata pipelines to ensure seamless execution.
  • Build capabilities that accommodate the unpredictability of live sports, breaking news, and special events.
  • Enable rapid playlist adjustments and conflict resolution without disrupting broadcast continuity.
  • Design automated graphics triggers, such as Hot Starts and Credit Squeezes, aligned with editorial and operational needs.
  • Monitor tool performance and user feedback to identify pain points and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure scheduling systems are scalable, reliable, and compliant with broadcast standards.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of project management experience; true professional project management experience needed
  • 5+ years of product management experience; understanding business requirements and process workflows
  • 5+ years of documentation experience, using LeanIX, Jira, or Confluence
  • Experience with scheduling and traffic systems (e.g., WideOrbit, Mediagenix, Imagine, etc.)
  • Deep understanding of linear broadcast workflows, especially playlist creation, playout operations, and graphics automation.
  • Proven ability to manage complex requirements and deliver user-centric solutions.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Requirements

  • Familiarity with live event workflows and contingency scheduling.
  • Experience with cloud-based or hybrid playout environments.
  • Knowledge of SCTE standards, graphics automation, and ad insertion logic.
  • Agile product development experience.
  • Broadcast or scheduling systems experience.

The estimated pay range for this position is USD $65.00/hr - USD $73.50/hr.
