There's currently a Configuration Analyst opportunity available in Eden Prairie, MN. This will sit on-site in Eden Prairie, MN and be a direct placement/full-time opportunity right away with our client. The client is looking for someone with the top skills that might be able to break the mold of what the CPQ can do, and think outside of the box. Someone with mechanical aptitude and great communication is very important. The client is willing to train this individual on different aspects, but this person must have solid ERP experience and exposure to communicating between different departments.

Description
The Configuration Analyst role is responsible for developing, managing, and enhancing configuration data and logic within Infor's SyteLine ERP and CPQ systems. This position is critical in supporting accurate custom product configurations and streamlined data flow from customer requirements for the clients engineered-to-order products. The role supports new product introductions, custom order workflows, and continuous product enhancements by leading configuration control efforts and ensuring process consistency across departments. This role reports to the Director of Technical Solutions.
Act as a project manager to ensure that projects are completed accurately and promptly.
Work cross-functionally with all departments to maintain connectivity with the shortest latency possible.
Self-manage projects, tasks, and timelines, ensuring that timelines from leadership are obtained.
Lead planning sessions with stakeholders to improve infrastructure and business processes.
Establish relationships with business partners and suppliers to provide technical solutions to meet user needs and influence strategic initiatives.
Manage multiple priorities of projects and requests. Organize and execute data revision requests and follow up with the requestor as needed.
Assist in the evaluation and negotiations with outside vendors.
Translate goals into actionable plans and execute those plans successfully and on time.
Collaborate with engineers and manufacturing to ensure the manufacturability of configured products and alignment with production capabilities.
Support item configuration templates and parameter-driven part generation in SyteLine.
Work with IT and vendors to enhance system performance and implement updates or new features across Infor tools.
Develop and maintain complex configuration rules, constraint logic, and product models within Infor's CPQ tailored to engineered-to-order humidity-controlled and water treatment systems.
Manage and optimize user interfaces, attributes, pricing structures, and visual configurations in Infor CPQ to ensure accurate BOMs.
Act as a liaison with sales, marketing, and engineering teams to define product option structures, dependencies, and production workflows.
Analyze logs and configuration bottlenecks to improve configurator performance and usability.
Conduct end-user testing and training sessions to ensure adoption of CPQ tools by internal and external teams.
Develop and maintain configuration rules tailored to an engineered-to-order environment.
Oversee the creation, change, and release of engineering documentation (e.g., drawings, specifications, BOMs) to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Support engineering with engineering change orders (ECO) and engineering change requests (ECR) processes, to ensure timely approval and implementation.
Lead cross-functional configuration meetings and facilitate communication across engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, and quality teams.
Audit configuration records, parts lists, and routing structures for completeness and accuracy.
Develop custom order workflows by coordinating configuration variations and maintaining traceability between customer requirements and product builds.
Ensure alignment between AutoCAD files and shop floor documentation.
Analyze and resolve configuration issues affecting production or procurement.
Train team members on configuration control processes and system usage.
