Description
We are looking for a skilled Office and Field Technician to join our team in Woburn, Massachusetts. This Contract position is ideal for a candidate with strong technical expertise, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a passion for maintaining efficient computer systems and networks. The role involves supporting both office and field operations, ensuring seamless technology functionality for the organization.
Responsibilities:
Monitor, maintain, and upgrade computer systems and networks in collaboration with other IT technicians.
Set up and configure workstations, including computers and peripheral devices such as printers and scanners.
Install and customize software and system functions according to organizational requirements.
Ensure the security and confidentiality of network and computer systems.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues by troubleshooting, repairing, or replacing hardware and software components.
Maintain detailed records of repairs, system updates, and maintenance activities.
Identify shortages in IT equipment and coordinate the procurement process.
Manage IT configurations for onboarding new employees and handling termination processes.
Provide support for Microsoft products, including installations, updates, and troubleshooting.
Assist with hardware installations and provide on-call support as needed.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
At least 3 years of experience in computer networks and system maintenance.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in software installation and configuration.
Solid understanding of internet security and data privacy principles.
Certification as an IT Technician (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Specialist) is a plus.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset to foster a positive work environment.
