RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a ServiceNow Engineer in Walnut Creek, CA. This is a hybrid (2-3 days onsite per week) 4 month contract to hire opportunity.
Summary:
We are looking for a seasoned ServiceNow Engineer with functional and technical expertise of the ServiceNow platform and associated business processes and integrations. They will be responsible for designing, developing, configuring, supporting and improving our ServiceNow platform and for providing technical guidance to ensure solutions are efficient and scalable. The ServiceNow Engineer will play a key role in the execution of our ServiceNow roadmap, and must be self-motivated and able to adapt to new technologies and shifting priorities in a dynamic environment.
Essential Functions:
* Lead or participate in all aspects of the ServiceNow software development life cycle: Analysis, Design, Development, Quality Assurance, Deployment, Training and Operational Support
* Creation of system documentation for software development and quality assurance processes
* Configuration, integration, custom development and other hands-on technical activities related to the ServiceNow platform
* Design, build and configure scalable solutions with a clear understanding of dependencies, connections and risks
* Influence solution design and approach to minimize customizations and technical debt
* Develop new and support existing integrations with other applications and 3rd party tools
* Proactively identify system deficiencies and recommend solutions
* Management of technical projects
* Configuration management and CMDB support
* Acts independently or as a member of a project team responsible for providing technical guidance or consulting on complex projects
* Utilizes a combination of professional, business and technical systems knowledge and skills
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree ideally; High School diploma/GED and 9 years of equivalent experience will be considered
* ServiceNow Certified System Administrator
* 5+ years of experience
* ServiceNow Discovery experience (ITOM and Discovery)
* ITSM, ITOM, Discovery and CMDB experience is must have
* Proficient in ServiceNow Architecture and coding base experience
* Experience in implementation and resolving issues
* Experience in JavaScript - must have strong scripting experience and integration experience
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
