The candidate will be supporting a WWT customer and will be employed by one of WWT’s preferred partners. The partner will provide full compensation and benefit information prior to employment with the partner.

Rate/Salary: A reasonable estimate of the current pay range for this position is $60.00 to $70.00 hourly (W2/C2C). Actual pay will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs, and will be set by your employer. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in base pay.
Job Description:
World Wide Technology (WWT) is seeking a Firewall Ticket Engineer for a 12 Months contract position based in Columbus, OH/Berkeley Heights, NJ/Atlanta, GA (Onsite), as part of our Strategic Resourcing Services and staff augmentation efforts.
In this role, the selected consultant will work directly with a WWT client, supporting their internal team and business objectives. While WWT facilitates the position, the consultant will be employed by one of WWT’s preferred partner organizations, which will provide complete details regarding compensation and benefits before employment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience with firewall management, including Palo Alto, CheckPoint, and Cisco firewalls.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, including NAT, routing, and security policies.
- Experience with AWS and Azure cloud environments, focusing on firewall and security configurations.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow and Tufin for request management.
- Knowledge of firewall role configuration, policy creation, and troubleshooting.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tickets efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to ensuring firewall configurations are secure and optimized.
