Must have Engineering experience 3-5 years

Plastics experience preferred

They will provide relocation up to $5,000 for the right candidate

Position Summary

As a Production Engineer, you'll be a vital part of our team, focused on optimizing and enhancing our manufacturing processes. You'll work closely with front-line production staff, collaborate across departments like Product Development, Technical Service, and Quality Control, and champion continuous improvement initiatives. Your technical expertise will be crucial in providing direct support, problem-solving, and ensuring a safe, efficient, and high-quality production environment.

Key Responsibilities

Process Optimization: Partner with the Engineering Manager to analyze and optimize manufacturing processes, aiming to boost efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall production output.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product Development, Technical Service, and Quality Control to streamline workflows and ensure seamless production processes.

CAD Design & Modeling: Utilize Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software (2D/3D) to create detailed models and drawings for mechanical systems and process improvements.

Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify and research opportunities for process enhancements, cost reduction, and efficiency gains within production.

Problem Solving: Assist in diagnosing and resolving production issues, proposing and implementing effective, data-driven solutions.

New Product Handoff: Collaborate with Product Development to facilitate the smooth transfer of new systems, equipment, and products to production.

Training & Documentation: Provide essential training to production staff on new processes and equipment, ensuring strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). You'll also be responsible for writing and maintaining SOPs as needed.

Safety & Compliance: Diligently adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, contributing to a secure working environment and complying with all company/departmental safety policies.

Positional Requirements (Competencies)

Educational

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering or Chemical Engineering

Technical Skills

Spanish is a plus

Proficiency in 2D or 3D Modeling software, with a preference for Autodesk Inventor, CAM, AutoCAD, or other similar industry-standard tools.

Proficiency with MS Office suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).

Basic knowledge of project management software (e.g., Monday.com).

Familiarity with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) knowledge and usage.
