Role: Snowflake Architect

Location: Tampa, FL/Dallas, TX/ Jersey city, NJ

Duration: Long-term

Responsibilities:

  • Architect and design scalable data solutions on the Snowflake Data Cloud platform.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to define data strategies and requirements.
  • Build and optimize ELT/ETL pipelines to integrate data from various sources into Snowflake.
  • Define and enforce data governance, security, and compliance standards.
  • Develop data modeling standards (e.g., star/snowflake schema) and maintain documentation.
  • Provide best practices for performance tuning, data partitioning, clustering, and caching in Snowflake.
  • Lead migration efforts from legacy platforms to Snowflake.
  • Monitor and optimize query performance and resource utilization.
  • Mentor and support junior data engineers and architects.
  • Stay current with Snowflake updates and other emerging data technologies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or similar roles.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience working with Snowflake.
  • Deep understanding of Snowflake architecture, including Virtual Warehouses, Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, Time Travel, and Data Sharing.
  • Proficiency in SQL and performance tuning.
  • Experience with ETL/ELT tools like dbt, Matillion, Talend, Informatica, etc.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and big data technologies.
  • Experience with version control (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
