Network Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Network Engineer in Waltham, MA.

Responsibilities:
* Network Engineer will implement equipment installation plans based on specifications, maintain each component of the network and troubleshoot issues
* Responsible for monitoring and maintaining corporate network and voice components, assessing the functionality of the network routers, switches and related equipment ensuring all network and voice equipment is maintained to industry standard best practices
* As a Network Engineer, you will interact with development labs to design complex infrastructure and deliver the project on time and on budget
* Identify, analyze, and resolve system issues and report on deficiencies in configuration, process, and documentation and develop and recommend corrective actions

REQUIREMENTS:
* 5-8 years of experience in traditional WAN and LAN using Cisco products and protocols
* 5-8 years of experience with Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco ASA, Global Protect VPN clients
* 5-8 years of experience with routing protocol, QoS and traffic shaping
* Experience with Cisco Catalyst and Nexus line of switches and Cisco routers
* Experience with F5 Load Balancers
* Experience with Cisco ACI technologies and Nexus 9K
* AWS or other cloud infrastructure experience
* Excellent customer service-oriented attitude and desire to support end users with issues of varying degrees of complexity
* Understanding of Radius and AD authentication
* Thorough understanding of troubleshooting complex systems and services from client through network/connectivity
* Effective written and verbal communication skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
